Dear Shelley,

I wanted to write you a short letter to thank you for the wonderful care you have provided for Austin for the past 3 ½ years.  Now that Austin is starting preschool it will be difficult to leave you.

I remember worrying about placing Austin in a large day care environment and was so happy to hear that you had an opening and could take Austin on a full time basis back on February 8, 1999.  I know he loves you as though you were his “other” mother.  There were weekends when he wanted to go to “Shelley’s” rather than stay at home with me.

You are a wonderful person and I appreciate all the time you have spent with Austin and the sincere and loving care you provided.  As a mother who had to work to provide for her family, I always felt blessed that you were there for us.

We will never forget you and we would like to keep in touch as Austin grows.  Best wishes to you and your family.  Thanks again!!
